Bunkrmate Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and participation in Bunkrmate experiences, including but not limited to nomad trips, founder retreats, group travel experiences, events, digital platforms, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By accessing our website, joining our waitlist, booking a trip, or participating in a Bunkrmate experience, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Bunkrmate

Bunkrmate is a community-first platform rooted in Jamaica, designed to bring together digital nomads, founders, operators, and creatives through curated trips, retreats, co-working experiences, and community gatherings.

Bunkrmate is not a traditional travel agency. Our offerings prioritize community, collaboration, and intentional experiences, with travel and accommodation serving as a framework for connection and shared growth.

2. Eligibility

To participate in Bunkrmate experiences, you must:

Be at least 18 years of age
Be legally capable of entering into a binding agreement
Agree to comply with these Terms and any additional guidelines provided for specific experiences

Bunkrmate reserves the right to decline participation to individuals whose conduct is not aligned with the values of respect, safety, and community.

3. Bookings, Pricing & Payments

Prices are listed in USD unless otherwise stated. Currency conversions (GBP, CAD, etc.) are estimates and may vary.
Flights are not included unless explicitly stated.
A booking is only confirmed once full payment (or an agreed deposit) has been received.
Prices may change prior to booking confirmation but will not change after confirmation.

Bunkrmate reserves the right to modify pricing, inclusions, or schedules when necessary due to operational, safety, or external factors.

4. Cancellations, Refunds & Transfers

Because Bunkrmate experiences involve small groups, advance planning, and limited capacity:

Refund policies will be clearly communicated at the time of booking for each specific experience.
Deposits may be non-refundable unless stated otherwise.
In some cases, transfers to a future Bunkrmate experience or to another participant may be permitted with prior approval.
No refunds will be issued for missed activities, early departures, or failure to participate.

Bunkrmate strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance.

5. Nature of the Experience

Bunkrmate experiences are designed to balance:

Work and co-working
Community connection
Cultural respect
Personal responsibility

Participants acknowledge that:

Activities are optional unless otherwise stated
Participation is voluntary and at your own discretion
Founders, operators, and remote work environments vary in intensity and outcomes

Bunkrmate does not guarantee specific business outcomes, revenue, partnerships, or professional results.

6. Health, Safety & Personal Responsibility

By participating, you acknowledge that:

Travel and group experiences involve inherent risks
You are responsible for your own physical and mental health
You must disclose any relevant medical conditions that may affect participation

Bunkrmate is not responsible for:

Personal injuries
Illness
Loss or damage to personal property
Acts of third-party providers

Participants must follow all local laws, safety instructions, and community guidelines during the experience.

7. Community Standards & Conduct

Bunkrmate is built on trust and respect.

You agree to:

Treat other participants, staff, and local communities with respect
Avoid harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior
Respect Jamaica’s culture, environment, and people

Bunkrmate reserves the right to remove any participant, without refund, whose behavior is deemed unsafe, disrespectful, or misaligned with the community.

8. Use of Content & Media

By participating, you grant Bunkrmate permission to:

Capture photos, videos, or recordings during experiences
Use this content for marketing, storytelling, and community purposes

If you prefer not to appear in content, you must notify Bunkrmate in writing prior to the experience.

9. Intellectual Property

All Bunkrmate branding, content, materials, and digital assets are the intellectual property of Bunkrmate unless otherwise stated.

You may not reproduce, distribute, or exploit Bunkrmate content without prior written consent.

10. Third-Party Providers

Bunkrmate may work with third-party accommodation providers, transport operators, chefs, co-working spaces, or guides.

Bunkrmate is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or performance of third-party providers but will act in good faith to curate safe and aligned partners.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

Bunkrmate shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the experience

Participation is at your own risk.

12. Changes to Terms

Bunkrmate may update these Terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with a revised date. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of any changes.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, without regard to conflict of law principles.
